James Baldwin Book Set
From novels to essays to poetry, James Baldwin tackled themes of race, sexuality, identity, and religion - ideas he himself was personally grappling with. His examinations of the complex social pressures facing Black and gay communities in the mid-twentieth century gave us words often ahead of their time, and ones that still ring true today.
For our book set, we wanted to pay homage to Baldwin's childhood neighborhood of Harlem, combined with a design reminiscent of the 60’s.
