A Series of Unfortunate Events tells the whimsical and mysterious tale of the Baudelaire orphans and their scheming relative, Count Olaf, in his evil quest to steal their inheritance. 
A children’s story like no other, it’s known for its satirical narration, absurdist story, dark humor, and willingness to ask difficult moral questions. As the Baudelaires are transferred to the care of distant relation from distant relation, they discover a dark mystery that may uncover answers to their parents’ tragic end. 
A Series of Unfortunate Events by Netflix Studios, 2017
This iconic series inspired a movie and video game in 2004, reflective of its status as a cultural sensation even before the final book was released in 2006. On-screen adaptations were officially rebooted in 2017, with a Netflix Original Series starring Neil Patrick Harris.
